1 : Chairs shall be of minimum 12mm diameter

2: Dowel rods shall be of minimum 12mm thick

3. Lapping shall not be done for bars more than 36mm

4. Maximum spacing of chairs for reinforcement is 1.0m and atleast 1 number per Sqm

5. Longitudinal Reinforcement shall not be less than 0.8% and more than 6% of cross sectional area

7. Minimum number if bars in a square column shall be 4 nos

8. Minimum number if bars in a Circular column shall be 6nos

9. Minimum diameter of bars in slab shall not be less than 8mm HYSD bars

10. Minimum diameter of distribution bars in slab shall not be less than 8mm HYSD bars and not more than 1/8 of slab thickness

11. Lap splices shall not be used for bars more than 36mm

12. Approximate requirement of binding wire for tieing reinforcing bars shall be 8kg per MT

13. Hooks for stirrups (one side) - 9D

14. Number of stirrups = (Clear span/Spacing)+1

15. Length of main steel in cantilever anchorage - 69D

16. All reinforcement shall be free from scales, rust, Paint coatings, oil or any other substances
